The 'Faccia a Faccia / Face to Face' portrait series was first exhibited in 2008. This body of work continues to explore themes originally explored in 'The Body' exhibition from the ‘Summer Artists in Residency’ program at RMIT in 2007. Experimenting with different paper surfaces, the first of these works resulted in dark ambiguous portraits, suggestive of an inner soul rather than one of likeness.
